CELEBRAZIONE DEL 50° ANNIVERSARIO DI ORDINAZIONE SACERDOTALE DEL GRAN PRIORE ECCLESIASTICO DELL’ORDINE MONS. MICHELE PENNISI, GCLJ

Si è svolta presso la Chiesa Madre di Grammichele, sua città di origine, la solenne celebrazione del 50° anniversario di ordinazione sacerdotale di Mons. Michele Pennisi, Gran Priore Ecclesiastico dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro.

Oltre ad una cinquantina di sacerdoti, venuti dalle varie diocesi siciliane, erano presenti 8 tra Vescovi ed Arcivescovi Ordinari ed Emeriti ed un gruppo di cavalieri in rappresentanza del Gran Baliato di Sicilia dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro, nonché molte centinaia di fedeli ed autorità civili e militari.

Per l’occasione Mons. Pennisi ha indossato l’anello pastorale con lo stemma di Gran Priore Ecclesiastico dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro, donatogli dal Gran Baliato di Sicilia.

CELEBRATION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF PRIESTLY ORDINATION OF THE GRAND ECCLESIASTICAL PRIOR OF THE ORDER MONS. MICHELE PENNISI, GCLJ

The solemn celebration of the 50th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Monsignor Michele Pennisi, Grand Ecclesiastical Prior of the Order of St Lazarus, was held in the Mother Church of Grammichele, his hometown.

In addition to about fifty priests, who came from the various Sicilian dioceses, there were 8 Ordinary and Emeritus Bishops and Archbishops, and a group of knights representing the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily of the Order of St Lazarus, as well as many hundreds of faithful and civil and military authorities.

For the occasion, Mgr Pennisi wore the pastoral ring with the coat of arms of the Grand Ecclesiastical Prior of the Order of St Lazarus, donated to him by the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily.
