CERIMONIA DI INVESTITURA ED INSTALLAZIONE DEL NUOVO BALI’ DEL GRAN PRIORATO DI INGHILTERRA E GALLES

Sabato 21 ottobre 2023 è stato un giorno molto speciale nella vita del Gran Priorato d'Inghilterra e Galles. Alla presenza del Gran Maestro Emerito, S.A. il Duca di Siviglia, ha avuto luogo l’Investitura Nazionale d'Autunno ed il saluto formale al Balì che si ritirava, S.E. il Cavaliere Charles Holloway GCLJ, nonché il benvenuto al suo successore, il Dr. David Woolf KCLJ (Commendatore del Galles) nella sua nuova posizione.

La cerimonia si è svolta nella chiesa di St Paul, Knightsbridge, Londra.

Il servizio è stato guidato dal Cappellano Generale, il Reverendo Canonico Brendan D. Clover SChLJ. Il predicatore è stato il Reverendo Canonico Jeremy M Haselock GCLJ, Balì Emerito, che ha tenuto il sermone. L'ufficiale investitore è stato il Gran Priore d'Inghilterra e Galles, l'Onorevole Marchese di Lothian PC, GCLJ.

L'apprezzamento del Gran Priore per il Balivo uscente è stato seguito dall'insediamento del nuovo Balivo del Gran Priorato d'Inghilterra e Galles, il dottor David A. Woolf KCLJ, che ha prestato i giuramenti richiesti. Tutti i presenti hanno giurato di sostenerlo nel suo lavoro di promozione, crescita e sviluppo del Gran Priorato, dei suoi scopi e obiettivi nella Fede, nella Speranza e nella Carità.

NATIONAL INVESTITURE AND INSTALLATION OF BAILIFF - GRAND PRIORY OF ENGLAND AND WALES

Saturday 21st October 2023 was a very special day in the life of the Grand Priory of England and Wales. In the presence of the Grand Master Emeritus, H.M.H. the Duke of Seville, the National Autumn Investiture and formal farewell to the retiring Bailiff, H.E. Knight Charles Holloway GCLJ, took place, as well as the welcome to his successor, Dr. David Woolf KCLJ (Commander of Wales) in his new position.

The ceremony took place in St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London.

The service was led by the Chaplain General, the Reverend Canon Brendan D. Clover SChLJ. The preacher was the Reverend Canon Jeremy M Haselock GCLJ, Bailiff Emeritus, who delivered the sermon. The investing officer was the Grand Prior of England and Wales, the Honourable Marquess of Lothian PC, GCLJ.

An appreciation of the retiring Bailiff by the Grand Prior was followed by the Installation of the new Bailiff of the Grand Priory of England & Wales, Dr David A. Woolf KCLJ, who took the Oaths required. All present vowed to support him in his work to promote, grow and develop the Grand Priory, its aims and objectives in Faith, Hope and Charity.
