L'ARCIVESCOVO IAN OSPITE DELLA CONFERENZA ANNUALE DEGLI AMICI TENUTASI IL 15 NOVEMBRE PRESSO LA CHAPEL ROYAL, ST JAMES'S PALACE

L'arcivescovo Ian ospite della conferenza annuale degli Amici tenutasi il 15 novembre presso la Chapel Royal, St James's Palace

L'arcivescovo Ian, che il prossimo 21 gennaio diverrà membro del Gran Baliato di Sicilia dell'Ordine di San Lazzaro, è stato l'oratore ospite della conferenza annuale degli Amici del Regno Unito tenutasi il 15 novembre presso la Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. Il canonico ospite, Rev. Dr. Paul Wright, sottodecano della Cappella Reale, ha dato il benvenuto ai presenti e ha fornito una breve storia del ruolo e delle responsabilità della Cappella Reale. 

Il presidente degli Amici del Regno Unito, il Rev. Canonico Dr. James Hawkey, canonico teologo dell'Abbazia di Westminster, ha fatto da moderatore e ha offerto una nota di ringraziamento.

Durante il viaggio a Londra, l'arcivescovo Ian ha incontrato anche il personale dell'Ufficio della Comunione anglicana e il bibliotecario senior della Biblioteca del Palazzo di Lambeth, Julia King, per lavorare al progetto di una mostra digitale e di una catalogazione online della John Moorman Library.

ARCHBISHOP IAN GUEST SPEAKER AT THE UK FRIENDS' ANNUAL LECTURE HELD ON THE 15 OF NOVEMBER AT THE CHAPEL ROYAL, ST JAMES'S PALACE

Archbishop Ian, who on 21 January next will become a member of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily of the Order of St Lazarus, was the guest speaker at the Friends' Annual Lecture held on the 15 of November at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. The host Rev. Canon Dr Paul Wright, the Sub-Dean of The Chapel Royal welcomed those present and gave a brief history of the role and responsibilities of the Chapel Royal. 

The Chair of the UK Friends, Rev. Canon Dr. James Hawkey, Canon Theolgian at Westminster Abbey, was the moderator and offered the note of thanks.

During Archbishop Ian's trip to London he also met with the staff from the Anglican Communion Office and the senior Librarian of the Lambeth Palace Library and Ms Julia King to work on an intended project of a digital exhibition and online cataloguing of the John Moorman Library.
