Kenneth P. Moritsugu (nato il 5 marzo 1945) è un medico e amministratore della sanità pubblica americano, il primo chirurgo generale statunitense di origine asiatica.

Mortisugu era un contrammiraglio dell'USPHSCC, andato in pensione nel settembre 2007 come chirurgo generale degli Stati Uniti ad interim. Giapponese-americano di terza generazione, è stato nominato vice chirurgo generale il 1° ottobre 1998 e nominato chirurgo generale ad interim il 31 luglio 2006. Nel 2005 Moritsugu è stato eletto fellow della National Academy of Public Administration.

Moritsugu ha conseguito la laurea nel 1967 presso l'Università delle Hawaiʻi a Mānoa, il dottorato in medicina presso la George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences nel 1971 e un master in sanità pubblica (amministrazione e pianificazione sanitaria) presso la UC Berkeley School of Public Health nel 1975.

È stato il primo chirurgo generale asiatico-americano degli Stati Uniti.

E’ Gran Priore Emerito degli Stati Uniti d’America e succede nella carica al Cavaliere canadese Edward B. White.

Kenneth P. Moritsugu (born March 5, 1945) is an American physician and public health administrator who was the first Asian American US Surgeon General.

Mortisugu was a rear admiral in the USPHSCC, who retired in September 2007 as acting United States Surgeon General. A third-generation Japanese-American, he was appointed the Deputy Surgeon General on October 1, 1998 and named acting Surgeon General on July 31, 2006. In 2005, Moritsugu was elected as a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration.

Moritsugu received his bachelor's degree in 1967 from University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 1971, and a Master of Public Health (Health Administration and Planning) from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health in 1975.

He was the first Asian-American Surgeon General of the US.

He is Grand Prior Emeritus of the United States of America and succeeds Canadian Knight Edward B. White in the position.
