PASSAGGIO DI CONSEGNE NEL GRAN PRIORATO DI FRANCIA

Domenica 26 ottobre 2025, nel corso di una solenne cerimonia presso l’Abbazia di Andlau, in Alsazia, l’attuale Gran Priore di Francia, il Conte Christian d’Andlau-Hombourg, GCLJ-J, al termine del suo terzo mandato (il massimo consentito dagli statuti dell’Ordine), cederà la carica al suo successore il Cavaliere Alain Juillet, GCLJ, il quale sarà insediato come nuovo Gran Priore di Francia alla presenza del Gran Maestro dell’Ordine.

In Francia sono presenti due giurisdizioni territoriali, confederate (a differenza dell’Italia dove le due giurisdizioni, Gran Priorato d’Italia e Gran Baliato di Sicilia sono del tutto indipendenti l’una dall’altra), il Gran Priorato ed il Gran Baliato, il cui Gran Balì viene eletto dai membri del Gran Baliato (attualmente S.E. il Cavaliere Dominique M. Doyen, GCLJ, KMLJ) e confermato nella carica dal Gran Priore di Francia

HANDOVER OF DUTIES IN THE GRAND PRIORATE OF FRANCE

On Sunday, 26 October 2025, during a solemn ceremony at Andlau Abbey in Alsace, the current Grand Prior of France, Count Christian d'Andlau-Hombourg, GCLJ, GCLJ-J, at the end of his third term (the maximum allowed by the Order's statutes), will hand over his office to his successor, Knight Alain Juillet, GCLJ, who will be installed as the new Grand Prior of France in the presence of the Grand Master of the Order.

In France, there are two territorial jurisdictions, confederated (unlike Italy, where the two jurisdictions, the Grand Priory of Italy and the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily, are completely independent of each other), the Grand Priory and the Grand Bailiwick, whose Grand Bailiff is elected by the members of the Grand Bailiwick (currently H.E. Knight Dominique M. Doyen, GCLJ, KMLJ) and confirmed in office by the Grand Prior of France.
