PROFESSORI DELLA FACOLTÀ DI TEOLOGIA DI SOFIA GUIDATI DAL PROF. MOLTO REV.DO PADRE IVAN IVANOV, CHLJ, DA PAPA FRANCESCO

Un gruppo dei professori della Facoltà di Teologia dell’Università di Sofia “S. Clemente di Ocrida” (Bulgaria), guidati dal Prof. Molto Reverendo Padre Ivan Ivanov, CHLJ, Responsabile per l’ecumenismo del Gran Baliato di Sicilia dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro di Gerusalemme, oltre che rappresentante in Italia e presso la Santa Sede del Patriarcato Ortodosso di Bulgaria, ha incontrato lo scorso mese di ottobre Papa Francesco durante l’udienza generale in Piazza di San Pietro e gli ha regalato un’icona di San Giovanni di Rila insieme a un libro su “La vita di tutti santi bulgari”.

I professori sono venuti a Roma in occasione di un pellegrinaggio sulle orme degli Apostoli nell’occorrenza della festa di S. Giovanni di Rila.

Il gruppo è stato accompagnato dal Rev.do Jaromir Zádrapa, Officiale della Sezione Orientale del Dicastero per la Promozione dell’Unità dei Cristiani, incaricato dei rapporti con le Chiese ortodosse slave.

PROFESSORS OF THE FACULTY OF THEOLOGY OF SOFIA LED BY PROF. VERY REV. FATHER IVAN IVANOV, CHLJ, BY POPE FRANCESCO

A group of professors from the Faculty of Theology of Sofia University "St. Clement of Ohrid" (Bulgaria), led by Prof. Very Reverend Fr. Ivan Ivanov, CHLJ, Head for Ecumenism of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily of the Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, as well as representative in Italy and at the Holy See of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Bulgaria, met last October with Pope Francis during the general audience in St. Peter's Square and presented him with an icon of St. John of Rila along with a book on "The Lives of All Bulgarian Saints."

The professors came to Rome on a pilgrimage in the footsteps of the Apostles on the occasion of the feast of St. John of Rila.

The group was accompanied by Rev. Jaromir Zádrapa, Official of the Eastern Section of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Christian Unity, in charge of relations with the Slavic Orthodox Churches.
