TRADIZIONALE PRANZO DI NATALE 2024 PER I MENO ABBIENTI

Si sono svolti presso il Comando regionale dei Carabinieri di Palermo e presso la Tonnara Bordonaro Zaharaziz i tradizionali pranzi di beneficenza per il Natale 2024.

Le due manifestazioni, svolte dal Gran Baliato di Sicilia in collaborazione con il Comando Carabinieri di Sicilia e la Karol Strutture Sanitarie, con il supporto della Caritas, ha visto la partecipazione di un gran numero di ospiti di varie provenienze etniche e culturali.

Al pranzo presso i Carabinieri, il 21 dicembre 2024, erano presenti, tra gli altri, il Comandante regionale dei carabinieri Generale di Divisione Giuseppe Spina e Mons. Michele Pennisi, Arcivescovo emerito di Monreale e Gran Priore Ecclesiastico dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro, oltre al Sindaco di Palermo Prof. Roberto Lagalla, al Luogotenente Generale del Gran Baliato di Sicilia avv. Pietro Luigi Matta ed al Presidente della San Lazzaro ONLUS Dr. Giuseppe Canzone.

Al pranzo presso la Tonnara Bordonaro Zaharaziz, il 23 dicembre successivo, erano presenti, tra gli altri, l’arcivescovo di Monreale Mons. Gualtiero Isacchi, il Presidente della Karol avv. Marco Zummo ed il Cappellano Maggiore del Gran Baliato di Sicilia dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro ed il Gran Balì di Sicilia.

Alla fine del pranzo il Gran Balì ha donato alla comunità islamica un prezioso bi-folio, incorniciato e leggibile fronte retro, recuperato da un Corano del Kashmir, contenente scritture dal capitolo 4 del Medina, An-Nisa (Donne), vv. 86-91, dove viene discusso il modo in cui i credenti rispondono agli ipocriti e in particolare dove è chiaro il comando di perdonare coloro che offrono pace ai credenti.

La cerimonia si è conclusa con la recita del Padre Nostro, guidata dall’arcivescovo Isacchi, e di un brano del Corano cantato dall’Imam.

TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2024 FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED

The traditional charity lunches for Christmas 2024 were held at the Regional Command of the Carabinieri in Palermo and at the Tonnara Bordonaro Zaharaziz.

The two events, held by the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily in cooperation with the Carabinieri Command of Sicily and Karol Strutture Sanitarie, with the support of Caritas, were attended by a large number of guests from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Present at the lunch at the Carabinieri, on 21 December 2024, were, among others, the Regional Commander of the Carabinieri Division General Giuseppe Spina and Monsignor Michele Pennisi, Archbishop Emeritus of Monreale and Grand Ecclesiastical Prior of the Order of San Lazzaro, as well as the Mayor of Palermo Prof. Roberto Lagalla, the Lieutenant General of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily Adv. Pietro Luigi Matta and the President of the San Lazzaro ONLUS Dr. Giuseppe Canzone.

The lunch at the Tonnara Bordonaro Zaharaziz on 23 December was attended, among others, by the Archbishop of Monreale Monsignor Gualtiero Isacchi, the President of Karol avv. Marco Zummo and the Senior Chaplain of the Grand Bailiff of Sicily of the Order of San Lazzaro and the Grand Bailiff of Sicily.

At the end of the meal, the Grand Bailiff presented the Islamic community with a precious bi-folio, framed and legible on the front and back, retrieved from a Kashmiri Koran, containing scriptures from Chapter 4 of Medina, An-Nisa (Women), vv. 86-91, where the way in which believers respond to hypocrites is discussed, and in particular where the command to forgive those who offer peace to believers is clear.

The ceremony ended with the recitation of the Lord's Prayer, led by Archbishop Isacchi, and a passage from the Koran sung by the Imam.
