CELEBRATO L’88° ANNIVERSARIO DELLA FONDAZIONE DELLA COMMENDA DI SLOVACCHIA E LE NUOVE INVESTITURE NEL GRAN PRIORATO DI SLOVACCHIA

Sabato 25 maggio 2024, il vescovo ausiliare di Spiš, mons. Ján Kuboš, ha presieduto la celebrazione liturgica al Castello di Stará Ľubovňa, organizzata dall'Ordine Militare e Ospedaliero di San Lazzaro di Gerusalemme in occasione dell'88° anniversario della fondazione della Commenda in Slovacchia e delle nuove investitura dell'Ordine nel Gran Priorato di Slovacchia.

L'evento è iniziato con la celebrazione della Santa Messa, officiata dal vescovo Ján Kuboš. Tra i concelebranti c'erano il parroco locale, il decano Pavol Lacko, e un membro dell'Ordine di San Lazzaro, mons. Michal Baláž.

Nel suo discorso, il vescovo Ján ha sottolineato l'importanza della comunicazione tra le persone secondo l'esempio di Maria. Ha inoltre incoraggiato i presenti a servire il prossimo, che è una manifestazione di comprensione della nostra missione cristiana.

La celebrazione liturgica si è conclusa con la benedizione delle insegne e l'investitura solenne.

CELEBRATION OF THE 88TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE COMMANDERY OF SLOVAKIA AND NEW INVESTITURES IN THE GRAND PRIORY OF SLOVAKIA

On Saturday, 25 May 2024, the auxiliary bishop of Spiš, Msgr. Ján Kuboš, presided over the liturgical celebration at Stará Ľubovňa Castle, organised by the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem on the occasion of the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Commandery in Slovakia and the new investiture of the Order in the Grand Priory of Slovakia.

The event began with the celebration of Holy Mass, officiated by Bishop Ján Kuboš. Among the concelebrants were the local parish priest, Dean Pavol Lacko, and a member of the Order of St. Lazarus, Bishop Michal Baláž.

In his address, Bishop Ján emphasised the importance of communication between people according to the example of Mary. He also encouraged those present to serve their neighbour, which is a manifestation of understanding our Christian mission.

The liturgical celebration concluded with the blessing of the insignia and the solemn investiture.
