He returned to the house of the Father today 21 April 2025, Monday of the Angel, at 07.35 a.m.

The members of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily of the Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, deeply saddened by the passing away of a great pastor of the Universal Church, unite their prayers with those of the whole of Christendom and commend the soul of the deceased to God, grateful for the gifts received during His pontificate.
