PERSONAGGI CELEBRI LAZZARITI JEAN THÉRÈSE LOUIS DE BEAUMONT D’AUTICHAMP AMMINISTRATORE GENERALE DELL’ORDINE

Jean Thérèse Louis de Beaumont, Marchese d’Autichamp (nato nel 1738 ad Angers; morto il 12 gennaio 1831 a Saint-Germain-en-Laye) fu un Maresciallo di campo francese con il grado di Tenente Generale.

Dal 1757 al 1762 prestò servizio nella Guerra dei Sette Anni, prima come aiutante di campo del Maresciallo Broglie, poi come colonnello in un reggimento di dragoni. Nel 1770 divenne Brigadiere d'Arme del Re e comandante della Gendarmeria di Lunéville. Fu promosso Maresciallo di campo nel 1780 e divenne Quartiermastro Generale nel 1789 dell'esercito assediato alle mura di Parigi.

Nel 1797 entrò al servizio dell'esercito russo, dove divenne comandante della guardia a cavallo, poi ispettore di cavalleria per l'Ucraina, la Crimea e il Dnestr. Nel 1799, comandò un corpo di 30.000 uomini destinato a sostenere Suvorov in Svizzera; tuttavia, Masséna ne impedì il raduno e Auticham fece ritorno in Russia.

Luigi XVIII lo nominò luogotenente generale e governatore del Louvre nel 1815 e dal 1824 fino alla morte ricoprì la carica Amministratore Generale e Presidente del Consiglio degli Ordini Reali, Militari ed Ospedalieri di Nostra Signore del Monte del Carmelo e di San Lazzaro di Gerusalemme.

Auticamp morì il 12 gennaio 1831 a Saint-Germain.

Jean Thérèse Louis de Beaumont, Marquis d’Autichamp (born 1738 in Angers; died January 12, 1831 in Saint-Germain-en-Laye) was a French Field Marshal with the rank of Lieutenant General.

From 1757 to 1762, he served in the Seven Years' War, first as aide-de-camp to Marshal Broglie, then as colonel in a dragoon regiment. In 1770, he became Brigadier-at-Arms to the King and commander of the Gendarmerie of Lunéville. He was promoted to Field Marshal in 1780 and became Quartermaster General in 1789 of the army besieged at the walls of Paris.

In 1797, he entered the service of the Russian army, where he became commander of the horse guard, then inspector of cavalry for Ukraine, Crimea, and the Dniester. In 1799, he commanded a corps of 30,000 men intended to support Suvorov in Switzerland; however, Masséna prevented its assembly, and Auticamp returned to Russia.

Louis XVIII appointed him lieutenant general and governor of the Louvre in 1815, and from 1824 until his death, he served as Administrator General and President of the Council of the Royal, Military, and Hospitaller Orders of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem.

Auticamp died on January 12, 1831, in Saint-Germain.
