FRATTURA NELLA COMUNIONE ANGLICANA

A seguito della decisione della Chiesa d’Inghilterra di inserire nel suo rituale quello della benedizione delle unioni delle coppie omosessuali, dodici province anglicane hanno ritirato all’attuale arcivescovo di Canterbury, il Molto Reverendo Justin Welby, il riconoscimento di Primate della Comunione Anglicana, ed alla Chiesa d’Inghilterra quello di Chiesa giuda dell’intera comunione.

Una dichiarazione in tal senso è stata adottata lo scorso 20 febbraio dai Primati delle Chiese Anglicane del Sud Sudan, del Cile, Oceano Indiano, Congo, Myanmar, America del Nord, Bangladesh, Uganda, Sudan, Alessandria, Brasile e Melanesia, tutti facenti parti del Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (www.thegsfa.org).

FRACTURE IN THE ANGLICAN COMMUNION

As a result of the Church of England's decision to include in its ritual that of blessing the unions of same-sex couples, twelve Anglican provinces have withdrawn from the current Archbishop of Canterbury, the Very Reverend Justin Welby, recognition as Primate of the Anglican Communion, and from the Church of England that of Judas Church of the entire communion.

A declaration to this effect was adopted last Feb. 20 by the Primates of the Anglican Churches of South Sudan, Chile, Indian Ocean, Congo, Myanmar, North America, Bangladesh, Uganda, Sudan, Alexandria, Brazil and Melanesia, all part of the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (www.thegsfa.org).
